Scenario 1: You have no PDF plugin installed in your browser and no application associated with file type “.pdf” in the browser:
In this case you will be prompted to save the PDF document on your hard drive. Later you can use PDF viewer applications to open that document and see your report.
Scenario 2: There is a PDF viewer application associated with the file type “.pdf” but no PDF plugin installed in your browser:
In this case the PDF document will be downloaded and the associated application will automatically launch and display your report id PDF format.
Scenario 3: If you have a PDF plugin installed in your browser:
In this case the PDF document will be downloaded and displayed in the pop-up window itself.
Now, depending on your browser configuration you will see one of the above. In any case that the PDF viewer application launches and displays the PDF report automatically the pop-up window will linger around even when you close that pdf application. This is a known issue with browsers and is beyond our control.

When you install the Adobe Reader it will configure your browser with the PDF plugin as well as installing the Adobe Reader application. This way when you view the reports they will appear in the pop up window.
